Student - Elder Interview Project

This project includes curriculum for K-12 through college as well as an activity curriculum for younger kids via the TOTA-Ed Achievers Afterschool Program.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Provide a curriculum to support classroom-based instruction in conducting interviews.

  2. build successful communities during the past century.2. Recruit amateur journalists enrolled in California Community College Ethnic Studies, Journalism, History, etc, and alumni groups who will seek out community elders to capture first-person narratives from people who have helped

  3. Provide workshops for afterschool programs.

TOTA Provides the following direct support for school interview projects:

  1. Equipment recommendations based on clients' needs

  2. Boilerplate and customizable interview questions, along with research assistance

  3. Technical assistance with TOTA and Panopto including one session for client staff; one session for client students; instructional videos; and Podcast Workshop with TOTA Resident Podcaster
